Privacy & Personal Information Protection

AT values the privacy of every individual's personal information and is committed to protecting any personal information collected and used in compliance with the obligations provided under the Personal Information Protection Act 2004.

You can access this website and browse many pages within the site without disclosing personal information. If you wish to utilise the online roster section of the website, you will be required to have a username and password and to be a current member of staff with AT. If you do not provide your name, contact and other details or cannot demonstrate to AT's satisfaction that you are an accredited and current volunteer with AT, you will be unable to access or use the online roster part of this website. AT reserves the right to terminate access without notice.

AT does not sell or otherwise provide personal information to third-parties for commercial or other purposes. Every reasonable measure is taken to ensure that your personal information will not be disclosed to others except as required for the day-to-day and obvious operation of the website or if required by law. You are hereby notified that your personal information can be accessed by other current and accredited users of this website including other volunteers and salaried staff of AT who hold administrative or other higher level access privileges. Any such access is managed in strict accordance with AT's privacy, security and confidentiality policies and procedures.

If you send email of SMS messages using this website and the associated software, your email address and/or contact details and the content of your message will be retained by AT. AT may also collect non-personal information in gathering statistical information on how the website is used, or to assist you in navigating through the website.

AT undertakes to destroy personal information where it is no longer required (except where required to be kept in compliance with the Archives Act 1983). All reasonable steps will be undertaken to ensure that personal information is accurate, complete and up to date when it is used or disclosed. Conditions of Use

To access or use certain parts of this website, you must be registered as a user. Only current AT staff are permitted as registered users. As a registered user, you must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date personal information, as requested. It is your responsibility to update your registration information by editing your vGate User Profile. If you are an Admin-level user you must not register staff members multiple times or create a User Profile for any person other than a current AT staff member.

You must ensure the security and confidentiality of your user credentials, including any username and/or password assigned to you. You are wholly responsible for all activities which occur under your user credentials. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your user credentials. You must not permit your user credentials to be used by or transferred to any other person. You must not use someone else's user credentials to access vGate.

AT reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to all or any part of vGate, including if AT believes you are abusing the services in any way, have breached the Conditions of Use, engage in conduct which is not permitted while using this website, or are no longer an active member of AT staff.

Conduct

You must not use vGate in breach of any applicable laws or regulations.

You also must not use vGate (or material obtained from vGate):

  • to transmit "junk mail," "chain letters," unsolicited emails, instant messaging, "spam" or similar;
  • to impersonate any person or entity;
  • to solicit money, passwords or personal information from any person;
  • to harm, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise offend others;
  • or for any unlawful purpose.

You must also not use vGate to upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available (or attempt to upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available) any material that:

  • is not your original work, or which in any way violates or infringes (or could reasonably be expected to violate or infringe) the intellectual property or other rights of another person;
  • contains, promotes, or provides information about unlawful activities or conduct; is, or could reasonably be expected to be, defamatory, obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, pornographic, vulgar, profane, indecent or otherwise unlawful, including material that racially or religiously vilifies, incites violence or hatred, or is likely to offend, insult or humiliate others based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation or any physical or mental disability;
  • exploits another person in any manner;
  • includes an image or personal information of another person or persons unless you have their consent;
  • poses or creates a privacy or security risk to any person;
  • you know or suspect (or ought reasonably to have known or suspected) to be false, misleading or deceptive;
  • contains hidden content;
  • contains viruses, or other computer codes, files or programs designed to interrupt, limit or destroy the functionality of other computer software or hardware;
  • advertises, promotes or solicits any goods or services or commercial activities (except where expressly permitted or authorised by AT);
  • contains financial, legal, medical or other professional advice;
  • interferes with, disrupts, or creates an undue burden on vGate.

You must also not use any robot, spider, or other device or process to retrieve, index, or in any way reproduce, modify or circumvent the navigational structure, security or presentation of vGate.

Except to the extent permitted by law, you must not modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decipher, decompile or otherwise disassemble any portion of vGate or cause any other person to do so.
