Ambulance Volunteers are the very heart of our communities. If it wasn't for around 500 volunteers, ambulance services in Tasmania would be drastically reduced, particularly in rural areas.

Volunteer Ambulance Officers help make up:

21 Ambulance Stations – staffed solely by volunteers
16 Ambulance Stations – where volunteers support paramedics
4 Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) – volunteer first responders in areas with extended ambulance response times
